Ordering & Payment

6 questions
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. We also offer financing through Shop Pay Installments and Affirm on every order over $50 - see our Financing page for details.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Shop Pay Installments (4 interest-free biweekly payments) is available on orders $50-$1,000. Affirm monthly financing (3-24 months) is available on orders up to $17,500, often at 0% APR for qualifying buyers. Prequalification at checkout uses a soft credit check and won't affect your credit score. Full details on our Financing page.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and applicable state and local tax law. The tax amount is displayed before you complete the order - no surprises.

Can I get a quote before ordering?

Absolutely. Contact us with the model(s), quantity, and your delivery zip code through the contact form or call (877) 658-6569. We turn around custom quotes within one business day. Contractor and bulk pricing is available for orders of 5+ units.

Can I modify my order after placing it?

If your order hasn't shipped yet - usually within 24 hours of placing it - yes. Contact us right away through the contact form or call (877) 658-6569. Once the order has been picked up by the freight carrier, modifications aren't possible without incurring reconsignment fees from the carrier.

Do you match competitor prices?

Yes - and we'll often beat them. If you find an identical DuraMax product cheaper from another authorized retailer, submit the URL and a screenshot through our Price Match Guarantee form. Approved matches are honored before checkout or refunded as a credit if you've already purchased.

Shipping & Delivery

9 questions
How much does shipping cost?

Free on every order to the contiguous 48 states. No minimum, no promo code. For Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, or rural/inaccessible delivery locations, additional freight may apply - we'll quote it before charging anything.

How long does shipping take?

Most in-stock orders process in 1-2 business days and arrive in 3-7 business days from the date of shipment. Items ship factory-direct from DuraMax's nearest US warehouse (West Coast, East Coast, or Heartland), so transit times depend on your destination zip code. You'll receive tracking via email once the carrier picks up your order.

How will my order be delivered?

Large items (sheds, garages, insulated buildings, larger furniture) ship via LTL freight on a 53-foot tractor-trailer. Standard delivery is curbside with free lift-gate service - the driver uses a hydraulic lift to lower your pallet to the ground at the curb. From there, you'll need help moving it to your build site. Smaller items (deck boxes, accessories) ship via UPS or FedEx ground.

Will the driver bring my shed inside the yard?

No. Carriers only deliver to the curb. The driver is not allowed to bring merchandise into your home, garage, or yard, uncrate it, or remove packing materials. Plan to have 1-2 helpers available - most shed pallets weigh 200-800+ lbs. See our freight delivery details for what to expect.

Will the carrier call to schedule delivery?

Most LTL carriers will call to schedule a delivery appointment, but they are not required to. Check your tracking number for the carrier's contact info - call them directly if you need a specific delivery window. Watch your email, voicemail, and text messages for carrier notifications.

Can you ship to a P.O. Box?

No. Freight carriers cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. We require a physical street address. We also cannot ship to APO/FPO military addresses.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally?

Standard checkout ships only to the lower 48 contiguous states. For Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories, or international destinations, contact us through the contact form for a custom freight quote.

How do I track my order?

You'll receive an email with tracking info as soon as the carrier picks up your order. Allow 24-48 hours after the email for tracking to go live on the carrier's website. If six business days pass without tracking, contact us through the contact form and we'll chase it down.

What if my driveway can't fit a semi-truck?

If a 53-foot semi can't reach your delivery address - narrow roads, low-clearance bridges, weight-restricted bridges, dirt or gravel roads, gated communities, or ferry-only access - you must let us know before placing your order. We can usually arrange an alternate drop point or pickup at the local freight terminal. Unreported access issues can result in redelivery fees deducted from your refund. Details on our accessibility policy.

Damage & Inspection

4 questions
What do I do if my shipment arrives damaged?

Critical: Inspect within 48 hours of delivery or you forfeit claim rights.

At delivery: If you see visible damage to the box or pallet - dents, holes, open seams, re-taping - note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing, take photos, and refuse delivery if the damage is significant. For minor damage, ask the driver to wait while you inspect contents.

Within 48 hours: Fully unpack, inspect every component, and email photos plus a description to our support team via our contact form or call (877) 658-6569.

Photo proof submitted within the 48-hour window qualifies you for free replacement parts. After 48 hours, replacement costs are the customer's responsibility. Full inspection protocol in our damage policy.

Should I refuse a damaged delivery?

If there is significant damage - large holes, crushed corners, the box has clearly been opened - refuse delivery unless we instruct you otherwise. The carrier returns the item to us and we ship a replacement. For minor damage, ask the driver to wait while you open the box. If multiple parts are damaged or missing, refuse. If only 1-2 small parts have damage, you can accept and we'll send replacements.

What if I find concealed damage after unpacking?

Concealed damage discovered during unpacking is covered as long as you report it within the same 48-hour window from delivery. Email clear photos and a description through our contact form. After 48 hours, any replacement parts and shipping costs become the customer's responsibility.

Is shipping damage covered under the warranty?

No. Shipping/freight damage is handled separately from the manufacturer's product warranty, under our 48-hour freight inspection process. That's why the inspection timeline is strict - it's the only window during which the carrier and DuraMax can recover the cost of damaged components.

Returns & Cancellations

5 questions
What is your return policy?

Unused, unopened products in original packaging may be returned within 30 calendar days of the order date. A 25% restocking fee plus inbound/outbound freight charges are deducted from the refund. The item must arrive at the manufacturer's warehouse undamaged with all manuals and hardware included. Return Authorization (RA) is required before shipping anything back. Full policy in our return section.

How do I cancel my order?

Cancel within 24 hours of placing the order, or before the item ships - whichever comes first - for a full refund. After that, freight and restocking charges apply. Contact us immediately through the contact form or call (877) 658-6569.

How long does it take to get a refund?

Once your returned item arrives at the manufacturer's warehouse and passes inspection, refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method. Cancellations before shipment are refunded within 3-5 business days.

Can I return a partially assembled product?

No. Any sign of assembly or installation voids the return. Once the product has been put together, even partially, it is no longer in re-sellable condition. If a part is missing, defective, or damaged, contact us for a free replacement part rather than returning the whole product.

Who pays for return shipping?

The customer is responsible for arranging and paying return freight back to the manufacturer's designated warehouse. We'll provide approved carrier options and the return address when we issue your Return Authorization. Orders that originally shipped free will also have the original outbound freight cost deducted from the refund.

Warranty & Parts

5 questions
What warranty comes with DuraMax products?

Warranty length depends on the product line. Vinyl sheds, garages, and insulated buildings carry a 15-year limited warranty. Metal sheds, PVC wall panels, and deck boxes are 10 years. Vinyl fencing is limited lifetime. Outdoor furniture is 2 years. Full coverage details by product line on our Warranty page.

How do I file a warranty claim?

Contact us through the contact form with your order number, product model, date received, a description of the defect, and clear photos. Reference "warranty" in your message so it's routed correctly. As your authorized dealer, we coordinate the claim with DuraMax directly. Most claims are resolved within 7-14 business days.

What if a part is missing from my shed?

Submit a request within 2 days of receiving your product. Contact us with your order number, the part number from the assembly manual, and a photo. We ship the replacement free of charge. Requests submitted after the 2-day window may incur part and shipping costs.

Is the warranty transferable if I sell my house?

No. DuraMax warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser. The original order confirmation serves as proof of purchase and is required for any claim.

Does the warranty cover storm or natural disaster damage?

No. Manufacturer warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship, not damage caused by acts of nature beyond the rated wind/snow load - hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, fallen trees, flooding. Check your homeowner's insurance for storm damage coverage. Full exclusion list on our Warranty page.

Installation & Assembly

5 questions
How long does it take to install a DuraMax shed?

Most DuraMax sheds take 4-10 hours for two people, depending on size. Smaller sheds (5x3, 6x6) can be done in an afternoon. Larger sheds (10.5x13, 22x10 insulated buildings) typically take a full weekend. Garages and larger structures may require 1-2 days. We strongly recommend having a helper.

What tools do I need to assemble my shed?

Most installs require: a cordless drill with Phillips and socket bits, a 4-foot level, a tape measure, a step ladder, a rubber mallet, and a utility knife. Your shed's assembly manual will list the exact bits and any special tools needed. Most kits include the screws and hardware; no special fasteners required.

Do I need a concrete foundation?

Recommended but not always required. DuraMax sheds can be installed on a level concrete slab, paver patio, pressure-treated wood platform, or a level compacted gravel base. The foundation kits sold with many models provide the frame for a gravel or wood base. A level, well-drained foundation extends the life of the shed and is required for the warranty.

Can I hire someone to install it?

Absolutely - many customers hire a local handyman or contractor. DuraMax BP does not offer in-house installation, but most local Angi/TaskRabbit/handyman services can assemble a shed in 4-10 hours. Average cost: $300-$800 depending on size and your region. Any third-party installer's fees are your responsibility and not covered by our warranty or returns.

Where can I find the installation manual?

All current installation manuals are on our Installation Manuals page - searchable by product name, model, and size. If you don't see yours listed (older model or custom variant), contact us with your order number and we'll send the right PDF.

Permits & Regulations

3 questions
Do I need a building permit for a shed?

Permit requirements vary by city and county. Many jurisdictions allow sheds under 120 sq ft without a permit, but rules differ widely. Check with your local building department before ordering. Permitting is the customer's responsibility - see our permits policy.

What if my HOA doesn't allow my shed?

HOA approval is the customer's responsibility before ordering. If your HOA denies your shed after you've ordered, the product is still subject to our standard return policy - including the 25% restocking fee and round-trip freight charges. We strongly recommend getting HOA approval in writing before purchasing.

Will a DuraMax shed pass inspection?

DuraMax sheds are engineered to meet typical residential building code requirements for accessory structures, including wind- and snow-load ratings disclosed in each product's specifications. Local codes vary - if a permit is required, share the product specs with your local inspector during the permit application process.

Products & Catalog

4 questions
Are you an authorized DuraMax dealer?

Yes. DuraMax BP has been a verified authorized dealer of US Polymers-Accuform (DuraMax's manufacturer) since 2011. Every product ships factory-direct from DuraMax's US warehouses, covered by the full factory warranty registered in your name at purchase. More on our About Us page.

What is DuraMax made of?

Most DuraMax sheds, garages, fences, deck boxes and wall panels use UV-stabilized vinyl resin over a reinforced galvanized-steel framework. The vinyl won't rot, rust, dent, peel or need repainting. Metal product lines (Eco Metal, Palladium Premier, metal garages) use galvanized steel with a UV-resistant powder-coat finish.

How long does a DuraMax shed last?

With proper installation on a level foundation, DuraMax vinyl sheds typically last 25+ years. The vinyl resin is engineered to resist UV degradation, rot, rust, and pests for decades. The 15-year limited warranty reflects this - most owners get well beyond the warranty period before any material issues.

Do you offer custom sizes or colors?

DuraMax products come in fixed sizes and standard color options from the manufacturer. We don't offer custom dimensions or color customization. Each product page shows all available color/size variants. If you need a specific size that's not listed, contact us - there may be a similar model that fits.
