Light or standard duty?
Light-duty for occasional assembly and repair work. Standard for any ongoing project work, woodworking, or hobby application. Standard is the most common residential choice.
About DuraMax Workbenches
A workbench is what transforms a storage shed into an active workshop. Without a work surface, the shed is just an envelope - you have to take projects out to work on them. With a workbench, the shed becomes the place where the work happens.
Three workbench tiers for different project work. Light-duty workbenches handle assembly, organization, small repairs, and hobby work. Sufficient for typical residential DIY tasks. Standard workbenches add work-surface area and built-in storage. Suitable for ongoing project work, woodworking, and serious hobby applications. Heavy-duty workbenches add structural reinforcement and clamping fixtures. Built for automotive work, metalwork, and heavy project applications where the work surface is loaded with significant force.
Plan workbench installation against the wall opposite the door for best workflow - you walk in, put down what you are carrying, the workbench is in front of you. Most workbenches are 24-36 inches deep and 4-8 ft long. For sheds 6x8 and larger, a single workbench fits one wall with circulation space remaining.
