Why lean-to vs gable?
Lean-to works better in narrow installations and along property lines. Gable works better in open yard placements and reads as more traditional residential. Both shed water effectively but in different patterns.
Can I attach the lean-to to my house or garage?
The DuraMax lean-to sheds are designed as freestanding structures, not attached to other buildings. They can sit adjacent to a house or garage with minimal gap, but physical attachment is not the design intent. Confirm with local building code if you plan physical attachment.
Do I need a permit?
Usually not. All lean-to options in this collection are under typical 120 sq ft no-permit thresholds.

About DuraMax Lean-To Sheds
Lean-to sheds use a single-slope roof rather than the gable (two-slope) or flat designs of other shed categories. The single slope works particularly well for sheds that sit against fences or property lines - the higher side faces outward (better access and visual presence) while the lower side sits closer to the boundary (better water drainage away from the property line).

The SideMate Plus Pro 10x4 with double doors is the premium option with the full-length double doors. The 4x10 SideMate variants (Plus and Classic) at 40 sq ft for typical residential narrow shed use. The 4x8 SideMate variants (Plus and Classic) at 32 sq ft for compact storage. The SidePro 10.5x2.75 at the narrowest profile (under 30 sq ft) for absolutely tight installations.
