Similar single-slope design. Pent typically has a steeper slope and is more architectural; lean-to typically has a gentler slope and visually connects the shed to a fence or building. Functionally similar.
Best for snow regions?

The pent roof is a single-slope roof design that drains water in one direction. Different from gable (two-slope) and flat roofs - the pent slopes from one wall down to the opposite wall in a single continuous slope. This drainage pattern works well when the shed sits against a fence or building (water drains away from the structure behind), in narrow installations where space is limited, or in residential aesthetics that favor the simpler single-slope visual.
