Chlorine-Resistant
Vinyl exterior, framing, and fasteners do not corrode from chlorine vapor that destroys metal equipment shelters.
Humidity-Proof
Closed-cell vinyl framing does not absorb pool humidity. No wood rot, no warping, no swelling.
15-Year Warranty
DuraMax limited 15-year warranty. Holds up over multiple pool ownership cycles.

Questions about pool equipment sheds.
Distance from pool?
Within 25 ft of pool plumbing to keep pipe runs short and pump efficiency high. Longer runs reduce pump performance and increase energy cost.
Chemical storage safe?
Yes - vinyl interior does not react with pool chemicals. Best practice is to vent chemical storage compartment and avoid storing chlorine and muriatic acid together.
Does it need its own foundation?
Yes - all DuraMax sheds need flat, level foundation. Concrete slab is best for pool equipment sheds because of equipment weight. See foundation guide.
Electricity for pump?
You will need a licensed electrician to run conduit and wire to the equipment shed. The shed itself does not include electrical - it is a structure not a powered enclosure.
About DuraMax Pool Equipment Sheds
Pool equipment storage faces three challenges that destroy general-purpose sheds. Chlorine vapor corrodes metal exterior surfaces, fasteners, and hinges within a few seasons. Pool humidity creates condensation that rots wood framing and warps wood doors. Pool chemistry (chlorine tablets, muriatic acid, algaecide) emits fumes that bleach and degrade interior surfaces and stored items.
Vinyl construction solves all three. The vinyl exterior does not corrode and is not affected by chlorine vapor. The closed-cell vinyl framing does not absorb humidity the way wood does. Interior plastic surfaces resist chemical exposure and clean easily.
14 DuraMax options across size tiers. Compact options (5x3, 5x5) hold chlorine tablets, test kits, and one small piece of equipment - good for small pools or supplemental storage. Mid-size (6x6, 6x8, 7x7, 8x6) hold pump, filter, and chemical storage together - the typical residential pool equipment shed. Larger options (8x8, 10x10, 10x13) hold pump, filter, heater, chemicals, and pool accessories (hoses, vacuum, skimmer poles) - good for larger residential or small commercial pools.
Build orientation matters. Place equipment shed within 25 ft of pool plumbing to keep pipe runs short. Keep chemical storage in a separately-vented compartment when possible - chlorine and muriatic acid stored together can react. Allow ventilation - even chlorine-resistant sheds benefit from airflow for cool equipment operation.
