Will my ATV / UTV fit?
Most standard ATVs (Polaris Sportsman, Honda Foreman, Yamaha Grizzly, Can-Am Outlander) are 4 ft wide x 7 ft long - fits any vinyl garage with workshop space along walls. UTVs and side-by-sides (Polaris Ranger, Honda Pioneer, Can-Am Defender) are 60-66 inches wide and 9-12 ft long - the vinyl is tight at 10.5 ft width; the 12 ft Imperial metal is the better fit for these. Two ATVs or one UTV - which kit?
Two standard ATVs side-by-side fit in the vinyl 10.5 ft width with about 2 ft of working clearance between them. Length-wise, 18 ft or longer accommodates both with workshop space. Most side-by-side UTVs need 12 ft of width (the Imperial metal line) to fit comfortably with working clearance.
Vinyl or metal - which should I pick?
Pick vinyl 10.5 ft wide for single ATV / single UTV use with workshop space. Pick Imperial 12 ft wide metal for side-by-side UTVs, two-vehicle storage, larger UTVs, or buyers who prefer the industrial aesthetic. The vinyl has a longer warranty (15 vs 10 years) but the metal has more drive-in clearance.
Do I need a permit?
Yes for any of these sizes. All eight options exceed typical 120 sq ft no-permit thresholds. Larger sizes (250+ sq ft) often require structural engineering documentation. Permitting is the customer's responsibility per our policy. Start with your local building department before ordering.
What foundation do I need?
A 4-inch concrete slab with rebar at minimum (6 inches at the largest sizes per local code). All eight kits ship with their integrated foundation framework which anchors to the slab.
Can I run electric to it?
Yes. None come pre-wired but all are designed to accommodate residential electrical service. Most powersports buyers install a sub-panel for outlets, lighting, charger circuits (for electric ATVs/UTVs), and security. Hire a licensed electrician.
What is the warranty?

About DuraMax ATV / UTV / Side-by-Side Garages
ATVs, UTVs, and side-by-sides need real storage - they get rained on, sit in mud, attract theft, and live in environments where a typical residential garage is either full of cars or does not exist at all. DuraMax BP carries eight garage kits sized specifically for powersports storage needs. As an authorized DuraMax dealer since 2011, we ship all eight factory-direct with free freight to the lower 48.
The vinyl garage line gives you 10.5 ft of drive-in width - enough for one ATV with workshop space along the side walls, two ATVs parked side-by-side (tight but workable for most), or one UTV / side-by-side at the upper end of the length range. The four vinyl options at the smaller lengths cover ~163 to 268 sq ft: 15.5 ft long (single ATV plus equipment), 18 ft long (two ATVs or single UTV), 20.5 ft long (UTV plus tools), and 23 ft long (large UTV or two-vehicle storage with workshop).
The Imperial metal garages are 12 ft wide - the extra width is meaningful for side-by-sides and larger UTVs. A typical side-by-side is 60-66 inches wide; two parked side-by-side need 11-12 ft of width to fit with reasonable working clearance. The Imperial 12x20 fits one or two side-by-sides with workshop, and the 12x26 fits two side-by-sides comfortably plus storage along the back wall. Both Imperial lengths come in dark gray with white trim or light gray with off-white trim.
The choice between vinyl and metal for ATV / UTV use is primarily about width and aesthetics. 10.5 ft vinyl works well for single ATVs and most UTVs but is tight for side-by-sides. 12 ft Imperial metal is the better choice for side-by-sides, multi-vehicle storage, or buyers who want the industrial aesthetic. The vinyl carries a 15-year warranty, the metal a 10-year warranty.
For all eight options: foundation kits ship with the kit, all are factory-direct shipped via LTL freight with lift gate service, and all require building permits at these footprints. Plan to file with your local building department before ordering.
